The customer’s product involved is a shape mesher, requiring solid topology information.

 

Standard Operation Report  

 

Day 1:

  • In the morning: general overview of  Fundations library toolkit with the developers who are in charge of interfaces…

  • In the afternoon: integration starting.

  • And by the end of the day: untrimmed surfaces are displayed on the screen and organized in the proper hierarchy (groups, instances…) in the customer’s  software.

 

Day 2:

  • In the morning: coding of trimming information, and by the end of the morning, first CATPart models are displayed on the screen (single faces).

  • In the afternoon: topology coding.

  • 4 p.m: solid models (*.CATPart  et *.CATProduct) with topology in the customer’s  software and can be successfully meshed ok. Everybody seems to be happy with the result.

 

Note: according to the customer, for the same type of integration, i.e. reading of Catia V5 solid models, it took 2 months of development in competitor's environment with a much heavier environment, (50 Mb). For ProE, it took 2 months of development in competitor's environment.
